NSS provides ample scope to teachers and students to engage in extension activities like social and community service. NSS Volunteers are allowed to participate in different programs like Orientation Program, Special Camping Program, NationalIntegration Camps, Youth Exchange Camps, R.D. Camps etc. it offers them the opportunity to manifest their dedication and commitment towards society.
The NSS is introduced to develop the spirit of service, cooperation, patriotism, and discipline among the youth of this country. The scheme provides ample opportunity for the volunteers to participate in camps, social service activities, and also to attend useful classes. The activities of the units are so framed to fulfill the objectives of the NSS.
NSS is an Indian Government sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India . Popularly known as NSS , the scheme was launched by Gandhi Ji in the year, 1969.Aimed at developing student’s personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in the Colleges, Universities working for campus –community linkage. On the same path the college has formed the NSS Club. The club has a great team of student teachers of B.Ed Semester 1 to 4 with the support of faculty and management. The club aims at to inculcate social welfare in students and to provide service to the society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their living. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in different places like villages, small towns how to lead a good life in scarcity of resources, it also provides help natural or manmade disasters by providing food , clothing and first aid to the victims. The volunteers also spread awareness among the people regarding disaster management and how to face the situations bravely. Some regular events that happen year around in and around the college under NSS are tree plantation, spreading greenery in and around the campus, cleanliness awareness programs , clothes collection and many awareness programs regarding vaccination ,self and public hygiene , proper sanitisation etc..jpg)
