In Gujarat, Navratri is a community event, where people perform Garbas on devotional songs that are popular by the names of 'Dandiya Raas' and 'Garba Raas'. As a part of this, D. D. Choksi College of Secondary Education organized ‘Garba Celebration’ on 11^th October 2019 in college premises. The celebration began with the Maha Aarti of Goddess Navdurga in the presence of Dr. Leena Mehta, the trusty of Vidyamandir Trust, Dr. Hasmukh Modi, the trusty of Vidyamandir Trust, Dr. Neelu Ghosh, Principal of D. D. Choksi College of Secondary Education, all the staff members and the students.. The event was well attended by all the students and faculty members in traditional grooming. All of them celebrated the day with joy and cheer. It was a colourful event with teachers joining the students enthusiastically in their dance. The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dancing to the garba made the entire day extremely successful and fruitful. The event became more graceful by the presence of  Dr. Leena Mehta as she joined us in the celebration. The program ended with the mouth watering Gulab-Jamun and Pav-Bhaji. It was a  memorable day for all of us.
