Vidyamandir Trust managed D.D.Choksi College of Secondary Education conducted an extension lecture on ‘Models of Teaching’ on December 29th 2018. Dr. Kalpesh Pathak –Principal of Indian Institute of Teacher Education(IITE), Gandhinagar, was speaker of the day. He is one of the most respected and renowned figure in the fields of Education and Research in Gujarat and India. Honorable guest was welcomed by Dr. Neelu Ghosh, Principal D.D.Choksi College of Secondary Education. Dr. Kalpesh Pathak explained steps of models of teaching and its practical application in teaching different subjects. The models discussed were 1.Concept Attainment Model 2. Inductive Thinking Model 3.Advanced Organizer Model 4.Cognitive Growth Model.
At the end of his lecture, Dr. Kalpesh Pathak resolved the queries of the students.
Overall the lecture was very educative and informative and all the students were benefited from it. The event ended with honorarium to the guest and vote of thanks given by Zarna Patel.
