The NSS unit of D. D. Choksi College of Secondary Education, managed by Vidyamandir Trust, organized a heartwarming Rakshabandhan celebration at the District Jail, Palanpur on 8th August 2025.

The event was organized under the inspirational guidance of our respected Principal, Dr. Neelu Ghosh Ma’am, with the active involvement of college staff members and NSS volunteers. Rakhis were tied to the inmates as a symbol of brotherhood, care, and emotional support, creating a moment of warmth, dignity, and human connection. The participation of the staff added depth and value to the program, reinforcing the message of social responsibility and inclusion beyond classrooms. The event received a heartfelt response from the inmates and was carried out smoothly with the cooperation of jail authorities, the NSS Program Officer, and student volunteers, following all necessary protocols.

This meaningful initiative reflected the true spirit of NSS – "Not Me, But You" – and promoted the values of compassion, empathy, and reform.
